Palace of the Popes and the Pont Saint-Bénézet, better known as Pont d’Avignon are only a small walk away that takes just a couple of minutes.

From here one can see the bridge leading to the gate of San Giacomo. The city is nicely illuminated and in the background the mountains are still visible.

Behind it you can see the tracers of the traffic in front of the city wall. Within the city wall you can find the papal palace as a beautiful and interesting part of the old city.
