Pelion

The Pelion is a Peninsula south east of Volos. Geographically it is located halfway between Thessaloniki and Athens. It is one of the most rain-laden regions of Greece. That’s why it is very green with lots of forests.  A spring or creek is never too far away. During our vacation we stayed in the small village called Lefokastro.

We also visited the village Damouchari, well known from the movie Mamma Mia.

Platanias: A nice village at the south coast of Pelion peninsula
